About Indifferent and peaceful
"Indifferent and tranquil" comes from Zhuge Liang's "The Book of Commandments", "Without indifference, there is no clear ambition, without tranquility, there is no way to reach far" (this sentence was adapted from "Huainanzi·Zhushu Xun" compiled by Liu An in the Western Han Dynasty). It is an important self-cultivation concept in traditional Chinese culture. The word is composed of two core concepts: "indifferent" and "tranquility": "indifferent" points to the dilution and transcendence of material desires, which is reflected in the cultivation of character without seeking fame and fortune; "tranquility" emphasizes the spiritual state of determination and self-sustainment through inner persistence.
