About Fanghu Scenic Area
Fanghu Scenic Spot is one of the forty scenes of the Old Summer Palace in the Qing Dynasty. It is a cultural relic. It is located east of Siyi Bookstore in the northeastern bay of Fuhai and north of Hanxulangjian. The only remaining ruins are now. The landscape was built in the third year of Qianlong's reign (1738) and covers an area of about 20,000 square meters. It is inspired by the legend of the fairy mountains in the East China Sea and continues the "one pond and three mountains" royal garden model to simulate a sea wonderland. It has been recognized by future generations of scholars as the most magnificent and beautiful building complex in the Old Summer Palace.
