About Yang Pinxiangzhai
Yang Pinxiang's Residence is a national key cultural relic protection unit located in Chengbei Village, Xizhou Town, Dali City, Yunnan Province. It was originally a private residence built by businessman Yang Pinxiang in 1947. The house adopts the traditional Bai layout of "three squares and one screen wall" and covers an area of 1,841 square meters. It is divided into two courtyards, the north and the south. The gatehouse and screen wall are the core architectural elements. The gatehouse is famous for its brackets and cornices and marble paintings. The screen wall is inscribed with poems, flowers and birds. The courtyard is equipped with slate and pebble mosaic floors and open-carved wooden lattice doors, which reflect the craftsmanship of Bai folk residences.
