About Han Xu Lang Jian
Hanxulangjian is one of the forty scenes of the Old Summer Palace in the Qing Dynasty. It is located in the northern half of the east coast of Fuhai and was built in the third year of Qianlong (1738). The landscape is built to imitate the sunset of Leifeng in Hangzhou's West Lake. It covers an area of 12,000 square meters and has a construction area of 1,300 square meters. It adopts the landscaping technique of "creating a landscape based on water and borrowing the scenery from the west mountain". The main building faces east and west, with a viewing platform facing the lake. The plaque "Leifeng Sunset" is hung on the outer eaves, and the brocade wall plaque "Hanxulangjian" written by Emperor Qianlong is on the inner forehead. You can overlook the sunset over the peaks of the Western Mountains. The landscape is divided into north and south areas.
