About Siyi Bookstore
Siyi Bookstore is one of the forty scenic spots in the Old Summer Palace, located northeast of Grand Duke Kuoran and north of Fuhai. It was first built in the Yongzheng period and was originally named "Chunyu Shuhe". In the ninth year of Qianlong's reign, a plaque titled "Siyi Bookstore" written by Emperor Qianlong was hung. In the 20th year of Qianlong's reign, there was a fire in Chunyu Shuhe. During the Qianlong period, it was renovated on a large scale imitating Chen's Yuyuan Garden in Haining, Zhejiang Province, turning it into a garden within a garden, named "Anlan Garden". The main hall of Anlan Garden is Siyi Bookstore, with five halls.
