About Ru Guhanjin
Rugu Hanjin is one of the forty scenic spots in the Old Summer Palace and is a Qing Dynasty cultural site. It is located on the west side of Qingyan in Jiuzhou and faces Hou Lake in the east. It has a total area of 9,000 square meters and a construction area of 3,300 square meters. The main building, Shaojingxuan, hangs a plaque written by Emperor Qianlong, and contains courtyard-style buildings such as Rugu Hanjin Hall and Zhuxiangzhai. As a winter reading place for the emperors of the Qing Dynasty, its building is decorated with nanmu truss boards and rosewood window frames. It has the function of collecting original royal calligraphy and paintings and allowing monarchs and ministers to discuss the past and the present.
