About Three Wells
The three-eye well is located next to the residence in Yixiang on the south side of East Street in Shouxian County, Anhui Province, China. It consists of three parallel wellheads. The dense rope prints prove that it has long served the daily needs of surrounding residents such as collecting water and washing. The well is close to the vegetable market and small commodity stall area, and the three-well mouth design significantly improves the water intake efficiency in densely populated areas. It is a cultural relic protection unit in Huainan City. In 2024, the three-eye well was selected into the "Mountain, Lake, Tangquan and Well" category of the "First Batch of Place Names and Cultural Heritage Protection List of Shouxian County". According to relevant regulations, the place name cannot be changed in principle.
