About Ma Zhiquan
Mazhuang Spring is located in Wenwangyu Village, Fucheng Town, Shanting District, Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province, with Zhai Mountain to the north and Baishi River to the south. The "Yixian Chronicles: Mountains and Rivers" written by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty recorded that the spring water originated from Dashanzi. There are existing front horseshoe springs and back horseshoe wells in this place. It is said that they were formed by King Wen of Zhou's horse digging the ground to form a spring. The spring water is inexhaustible all year round. There is a local legend that King Wen of Zhou Dynasty made the needles of the jujube trees straighten when he inspected the valley. "Yinyou" copper coins were once unearthed in this area, which were regarded by the villagers as wards off evil spirits. There are many legends about King Wen of Zhou spread around Wenwangyu Village.
