About Ziqingting

Ziqing Pavilion is a building on the campus of Tsinghua University. The Ziqing Pavilion of Tsinghua University was originally named Yidong Pavilion. It is a relic of Xichun Garden in the Qing Dynasty. It was renamed in 1978 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Zhu Ziqing's death. The plaque was inscribed by Jin Denian. There is a monument recording his life and deeds next to the pavilion. The Ziqing Pavilion of Tsinghua University is located on the earth hill outside the east wall of the Gongzi Hall, adjacent to the Shuimu Tsinghua Scenic Area. It is often mistaken for the prototype of Zhu Ziqing's "Moonlight over the Lotus Pond". In fact, the article describes the lotus pond in the Near Spring Garden, where there is also a Moonlight Pavilion over the Lotus Pond.
