About Haitang Valley
Haitang Valley is a scenic spot located in the Yongding River Leisure Forest Park in Shijingshan District, Beijing. It is one of the park's "top ten attractions". Yongding River Leisure Forest Park is the first park built and open to the public free of charge in the "Five Gardens and One Belt" project of the Yongding River Green Ecological Development Belt. It was opened to the public on April 28, 2013. Haitang Valley was originally an 8-meter-deep sand and gravel pit. After design and transformation, it formed a gentle valley bottom. A total of more than 800 crabapples of 5 varieties including Xifu Begonia and Chuisi Begonia were planted, along with plants such as green peach and mountain peach, forming a spring flower viewing landscape.
