About Crystal Wings
Crystal Wings is China's first suspended flying roller coaster manufactured by the Swiss Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M) company in the "Atlantis" theme area of Beijing Happy Valley. It opened on July 9, 2006. The total track length is 850 meters, the highest point is 32.3 meters, and the speed is 82.1 kilometers per hour. It uses a rotating seat design to put passengers in a prone flying position, simulating the soaring experience of birds. This equipment has won the championship of international rail amusement projects in 2003 and 2004. Subsequent similar facilities in Asia have been built in Changzhou, Xishuangbanna and other places. The project is based on the legend of Atlantis. The track includes structures such as the Bertso Loop and the Horseshoe Loop. Passengers must be between 1.32-1.9 meters tall and have no health restrictions.
