About Gurgling on the stone wall

The stone wall flowing gurgling water is one of the twenty-four scenic spots of Slender West Lake. It is located in the northern area of Wanhua Garden in Slender West Lake, connected to Jinquanhuayu Island in the north, and connects Jingxiang Bookstore, Twenty-four Bridges, White Tower Qingyun, Wuting Bridge and other scenic spots from north to south, forming a coherent landscape belt on the lake. This scene was originally a villa built by Xu Shiye, a salt merchant in the Qing Dynasty. During the Emperor Qianlong's southern tour, he named it "Shui Zhu Ju". The landscape is centered around the Yellowstone rockery and waterfall. The main peak is 13.8 meters high and stretches 85 meters from east to west. More than 30,000 tons of Yellowstone were used to form a "gurgling" scene of splashing hanging waterfalls, which is quite representative among the rockery stacks in Yangzhou gardens.
