About cypress ridge
Baishu Ridge is located in Shangniu Village, Buguan Township, Pinglu County, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province. It is adjacent to Yuncheng Salt Lake to the north, Phoenix Valley to the west, Zhongtiao Mountain to the south, and wind power generation facilities on the east side. This place is named after the ancient towering cypress trees on the ancient salt road. There are existing ruins such as the Mountain Temple and the Liumao Ancient Salt Road (also known as the Niujiayuan Ancient Salt Road). The Liumao Ancient Salt Road was built in the second year of Xiangxiang in the Northern Zhou Dynasty (580). The existing "Cliff Stone Carvings of the Kaishan Road of the Northern Zhou Dynasty" records the historical facts of this road construction. Allusions such as "Bole Xiangma" and "Fake Yu defeat Guo" are spread around.
