About Northern Village School

Bei Sociology, also known as Yuying Sociology, is located outside the north gate of Yuehua Street, Nanzhao Town, Weishan Yi and Hui Autonomous County, Yunnan Province. It covers an area of 1,800 square meters and a cultural relic construction area of 659.12 square meters. It was first built during the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty (1628-1644), and was jointly built by Zhu Tongxi, a fellow magistrate of Menghua, and local gentry. The existing buildings include the archway-style gate with a single eaves hanging on the top of the mountain, the middle hall, the side rooms, etc. The main door has nine-step brackets in the open room, and seven-step brackets in the secondary room, forming a staggered hierarchy. The society was originally composed of the main entrance, hall, main hall, wing rooms and the Xianshi Pavilion.
