About yingqingzhai

Yingqingzhai is located on the south side of the Jade Linglong Pavilion in Changchun Garden, Yuanmingyuan, Haidian District, Beijing, covering an area of 5,000 square meters, with a straight-line distance of less than 100 meters. The building complex was built in the 31st year of Qianlong's reign (1766). It belongs to the additional scenic area in the east of Changchun Garden and covers buildings such as Yingqingzhai, Qingwang Tower, and Taojia Bookstore. The study faces water on three sides and is surrounded by green hills on the east, south and west sides. A plaque inscribed by Emperor Qianlong "Ying Qing Zhai" hangs on the outer eaves. In the northeast, close to the west bank of the semicircular river port, there is a square promenade facing the water. At the north end of the promenade is the "Zhaokuang Pavilion" named after Qianlong.
