About Sky Mountain Station
Sky Mountain Station is a coastal station located in the northwest of the beautiful sandy coast of Haidian Island, Haikou City, Hainan Province, surrounded by the sea on three sides. The station is Station No. 6 of the large-scale international public art project "Haikou·Seaside Station". It was designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto and will officially open on March 25, 2023. The station has a total construction area of about 3,600 square meters. The architectural shape is like undulating waves, with "wind, forest, and valley" as elements. Its rolling white dome roof has become a transition point connecting the city and the seaside. The post station is one of the 16 coastal inns planned and constructed by Haikou City. It is the second inn built in Haikou Bay after Yundong Library.
