About Revolving restaurant
A revolving restaurant is a viewing restaurant usually located on the top floor of a high-rise building. Its dining platform can slowly rotate 360 degrees, allowing customers to overlook the panoramic view of the city while dining. One rotation usually takes about 1 hour to 1 hour and 20 minutes. The business model is mainly buffet, but also retains the ordering model. Revolving restaurants appeared in mainland China in the 1980s. In October 1983, Nanjing Jinling Hotel Xuan Palace opened, becoming the first high-rise revolving restaurant in mainland China. In 1985, Guangzhou Lingxuan Pavilion opened. In 1986, Shenzhen Guomao Revolving Restaurant opened and was once known as the earliest and highest sky restaurant in the country.
