About Tomb of Wu Zhen

Wu Zhen Tomb is located at No. 178 Huayuan Road, Weitang Street, Jiashan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, covering a total area of about 740.1 square meters. It is an ancient site from the Yuan Dynasty. Wu Zhen Tomb is divided into two parts: the cemetery and Meihua Temple. The overall plane is approximately rectangular, long from north to south and short from east to west. The cemetery is located on the west side of Meihua Temple. The coffin is parked on the ground and the earth is built into a mountain. Wu Zhen Tomb has been well preserved for more than 650 years. The Meihua Nunnery next to the tomb has been repaired many times, but its basic shape remains unchanged. The tomb of Wu Zhen faces south. The base of the tomb is octagonal and made of strips of stone. Ruyi patterns are carved on the edges and corners of the strips.
