About Plum Blossom Pavilion
Plum Blossom Pavilion is located in Shilipu Village, Shahe City, Hebei Province, 7.5 kilometers away from Xingtai City. It is named after the "Plum Blossom Ode" written by Song Jing, a famous prime minister in the Tang Dynasty, when he was 25 years old. The pavilion was built in the 11th year of Zhengde in the Ming Dynasty (1516) by Fang Hao, the magistrate of Shahe County. It was rebuilt by the magistrate Kong Shangji during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. In the fifteenth year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1750), Sun Fengli, the magistrate of the county, expanded it into the Plum Blossom Park including cloisters, curved railings and pools, forming a garden landscape covering an area of about ten acres, and preserved the "Plum Blossom Ode" written by Emperor Qianlong. The stone carvings of "Dongchuan Poems" and "Ancient Plum Blossoms" are 2.9 meters long and 0.
