About Lover's Pier

Lover's Pier is located in Xingda Port, Qiecheng District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. It is an important part of the multi-functional tourist and leisure port in the south. The wharf was first built in August 2003. Kaohsiung County spent NT$60 million to build a fishery cultural powerhouse and other facilities, planning to promote the transformation of the fishing port through recreational fishing. The supporting projects are scheduled to be completed by the end of the same year. The landscape includes multi-layered heart-shaped arches, a "lover's lock" device symbolizing eternal love, and the "Future Elephant" concert installation art donated by the Mayday Band in 2014. The park is equipped with Taiwan's first maritime theater, sailing-themed restaurant and fishery product sales center.
