About Pingshan
Pingshan is hidden in the deep mountains of Laoxiong Ridge by the Mengdong River in Nuqing County, western Hunan. It is a treasure land chosen by emperors of all dynasties for alchemy. It is a unique peak surrounded by mountains. Its shape is like a vase with a narrow top and a wide bottom. It is a fictional place name in "Ghost Blowing the Lamp: Wrathful Qing Xiangxi", and its prototype is "Huping Mountain". The origin of the story of "Nu Qing Xiangxi" is that a group of explorers such as Chen Yulou and Partridge Shao came to Pingshan in Nuqing County in western Hunan to explore a Yuan Dynasty tomb that concealed many secrets. In the novel, Chen Yulou, the leader of Xieling, possesses unique skills. He led 100,000 tomb robbers from Changsheng Mountain into Pingshan, but he lost his troops and generals, which proves how dangerous the journey to Pingshan is.
