About Defending North China Stone Carvings
The "Defend North China" stone carving is located in the Cherry Valley on the west side of the Reclining Buddha Temple in Haidian District. On the rocks near the source of the water, there are the words "Defend North China". The stone carving font is square and powerful, arranged in a cross shape. The inscription was engraved on the occasion of the "December 9th" Movement in 1935 and was engraved by students from Peking University and Tsinghua University.
