About Send a son to Fengqiao

The Songzilaifeng Bridge is located on the east side of Xiaotong Street, Xitang Ancient Town, Jiashan County, Zhejiang Province. It was first built in 1637 (the tenth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty). It is a three-hole stone bridge with a width of 10 meters. The top of the bridge is equipped with a red eaves and black tile roof, which has the function of providing sun and rain protection, so it is commonly known as the "Qingyu Bridge". The middle section of the bridge is separated by a flower wall to separate the north and south passages. There are stairs on the south side and a slope on the north side, which coincides with the traditional concept of yin and yang, implying the branching of "men on the left and women on the right", forming a unique folk custom of walking on the bridge. There are guardrails and long seats on both sides of the bridge for resting and viewing.
