About Divine Turtle Wentian

Shengui Wentian, also known as Guifeng, is a natural landscape at the south gate of Tongtianzhai Scenic Area. This scenic spot is located on the top of the mountain above the south gate. It is named because the rock resembles a giant turtle stretching its neck and looking up to the sky. It is an important node on the classic "sports and leisure tour route" of the scenic spot (from the south gate to the north gate). Tongtianzhai Scenic Area is a national 4A-level scenic spot and a typical Danxia landform scenic spot. Its cracked rock surface is particularly typical. According to legend, in ancient times, there was a frog spirit that caused harm. The divine turtle obtained the demon-suppressing orb to eliminate the monster. They both died in the battle with the frog spirit. Their bodies turned into rocks, forming the scene of "the divine turtle asking the sky".
