About Denghua Street Qingshiban Road

The bluestone road on Denghua Street is a sloping street running east-west. It starts from Huashan West Road in the east and ends at Huanggong East Street in the west, with a total length of 223 meters and a width of 4 to 6 meters. Along this road, you can climb Mount Wuhua, hence its name. The existing Qingshi Road in Denghua Street is 69 meters long and 5.2 meters wide, with a total area of about 360 square meters. The road surface is paved with bluestones commonly known as "path stones" in two sizes: 60 cm × 25 cm and 30 cm × 12 cm. In the Qing Dynasty, all streets in Kunming were made of stone and were very solid. In the early days of the Republic of China, the authorities repaired the uneven roads that had been in disrepair for a long time, but they were still paved with thin strips of stone.
