About A hit
The "One Shot Success" patriotic education base is located in the middle of Shuita Mountain in Shuimogou Scenic Area, Urumqi City. It was founded in June 2001 with an investment of 4.8 million yuan from the Shuimogou District Government. It covers an area of 15,000 square meters (including 1,800 square meters for the fort and 13,200 square meters for the square). The base includes the main fort, four auxiliary forts, a white marble statue wall and a cultural relics exhibition room. There is a 10-meter-high statue of Zuo Zongtang in the center of the square. In June 2002, it was named a municipal-level patriotic national defense education base by the Propaganda Department of the Urumqi Municipal Party Committee. Five cast-iron cannons are displayed on the outside of the main fort, and real objects such as Qing soldiers' clothing and weapons are displayed on the inside.
