About Zeng Family Courtyard
Zeng Family Courtyard, also known as Zeng Family Manor, is located to the north of Liujiang Ancient Town, Hongya County, Meishan City, Sichuan Province. It is the only relatively well-preserved family manor in Hongya County. It was built by Zeng Yicheng, an architect studying in France, in memory of his father Zeng Yishou, which took ten years from 1927 to 1937. The building complex covers an area of 11,621 square meters, with a total construction area of 5,402 square meters. The plan is laid out in the traditional Chinese character "Shou". It has an existing structure of 3 entrances, 4 courtyards and 3 stages, including an observation deck, Miss Building, Peony Garden, Lychee Garden and other Chinese and Western buildings. It adopts a mixed structure of wooden piers and piers and raised beams.
