Sunny Beach (English name: Sun of Beach, abbreviated as SOB; Chinese abbreviated as "Beach" or "Yangsha") is an electronic bulletin board platform established in Taiwan on March 6, 1996. It was jointly founded by Luo Ziyi, a student in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Dai Zhiyang, a Department of Asset Management, and Chen Hongwei, a Department of Mechanical Engineering, in Room 420, Dormitory 7, National Taiwan University. In the initial stage, the code was transplanted using the Qingdao Fengqiao Station system and ran on the ASUS TP4XE motherboard and FreeBSD system, aiming to provide a platform for community communication and computer technology research. In 1996, the site's maximum number of online users exceeded 7,700, ranking among the top 20 BBSs in Taiwan, and it supports users to build their own community discussion boards.
