About Xingyin Pavilion
Xingyin Pavilion is located on a small island east of Tingtaoxuan on the northwest coast of East Lake in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. It is surrounded by water and is accessible via Hefeng Bridge. The building was built in 1955 and is named after the allusion of Qu Yuan's "Xingyin Pavilion" in "The Songs of Chu: The Fisherman". It is an antique building with a reinforced concrete structure, 22.5 meters high, with spires at the four corners, three-story cornices covered with green tiles, and a plaque inscribed by Guo Moruo "Xingyin Pavilion" hanging under the eaves. In front of the pavilion stands a full-length statue of Qu Yuan, 3.6 meters high, showing the image of the poet chanting with his head held high.
