About Debt Elimination Temple
Debt-Free Temple, a historical place name in Beijing. Its name comes from the legend that the temple has the ability to eliminate debts. The temple was first built in the Ming Dynasty and was rebuilt after being damaged by heavy rain erosion in the 19th year of the Republic of China (1930). The ruins are now part of the Jiufeng Central Scenic Area of Jiufeng National Forest Park in Beijing. The temple was destroyed in the 1960s, and only its ruins remain. Its ruins are now a place of prayer for debt-ridden people seeking relief.
