About Kunming old street
Kunming Old Street is the only historical and cultural block named after a unified place in China. It is located in Huguo Street, Wuhua District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. It consists of more than ten streets such as Guanghua Street, Jingxing Street, and Wenming Street. Its history can be traced back to the Dali Kingdom in 1119 AD. The existing buildings are mainly in the style of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, retaining traditional elements such as bluestone roads, wooden doors, windows, and sculptures. It covers 12 cultural relics protection units such as Nie Er's former residence and the Anti-Japanese War Victory Hall. The block layout has been finalized since the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. The existing building complex includes Qing Dynasty "One Seal" style residences and Republic of China shops.
