About Tianjin Xiaozhan training regiment

Tianjin Xiaozhan Army Training Corps is located in Xiaozhan Town, Jinnan District. It is a historical site where Yuan Shikai succeeded Hu Xifen in 1895 to supervise the training of the newly established army in the late Qing Dynasty. This military training system is modeled on the German Army system. Based on the original armed forces, it organizes infantry, cavalry, artillery and other arms, adopts new weapons and equipment, and establishes military armament schools. The military training process produced Beiyang generals such as Feng Guozhang and Duan Qirui, and became the birthplace of the Beiyang warlord group. Xiaozhan Military Training Park is now a national 3A-level tourist attraction, covering an area of 200,000 square meters.
