About Zhi Yuan Zhai
Zhiyuanzhai is located in the Qinzheng Hall complex of Xiangshan Park in Beijing. It consists of three parts: Zhiyuanzhai, Yunqinzhai and Tingxuexuan. It was first built in the 26th year of Qianlong's reign (1761). It was originally the administrative place where Emperor Qianlong stayed in Xiangshan, and most of his "Ten Perfect Martial Arts" were decided here. It was destroyed by fire and looting by the British and French forces in 1860. It was rebuilt and opened to the outside world in 2015. The building complex covers an area of 1,808 square meters. Zhiyuanzhai is a hard-mounted building with five rooms in width and houses the Qianlong throne; Yunqinzhai uses the sound of springs to represent the sound of the piano, and stacks stones to organize the water to create a landscape; Tingxuexuan has an exquisite layout, with the east and west courtyards separated by verandas.
