About Zhongshan Ancient Town

Zhongshan Ancient Town, whose English name is Zhongshan Ancient Town, is commonly known as Sanhechang or Longdongchang. It is located on the bank of Sunxi River in the south of Jiangjin District, Chongqing City. It covers an area of 56 square kilometers, has 13 village committees and 1 neighborhood committee under its jurisdiction, and has a population of about 18,000. The ancient town is located in the golden triangle of eco-tourism between Chongqing, Sichuan and Guizhou, and is connected to the remnants of Dalou Mountain. It has the national Dayuandong Forest Park and is the north gate of Simian Mountain. It has a history of 858 years and was approved as a famous historical and cultural town in China in 2005. Tourism is the main economic feature. In 2019, it received 1.153 million tourists and achieved a comprehensive tourism income of 749 million yuan.
