About Yidu Town

Yidu Ancient Town (formerly known as Dadukou Ancient Town and Masangxi Ancient Town) is located next to the Masangxi Bridge in Dadukou District, Chongqing. In March 2016, it was restored and rebuilt based on the original site of Dadukou Ancient Town, and it was officially opened on January 24, 2017. The ancient town is close to Yidu Park, Guo Xuanchang Sculpture Art Museum, and Chongqing Industrial Museum. The total construction area of Dadukou Ancient Town is about 18,000 square meters. It is a typical mountainous street town on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. The entire block faces the river and is divided into four steps, with a total of three streets and nine lanes. In addition to traditional buildings, the ancient town scenic spot also has landscapes such as the Masang River Bridge, the old Chengdu-Chongqing Railway, and the old wharf.
