About Yunxiu Tower

Yunxiu Tower is located in Huangshan Scenic Area, Nan'an District, Chongqing, China. It is a Chinese and Western-style three-story brick and wood structure building. It was built in 1925 and covers an area of 167 square meters with a construction area of 364.5 square meters. After the Nationalist Government moved its capital to Chongqing during the Anti-Japanese War, the building became Chiang Kai-shek's residence and office, and was one of the decision-making places for important military and political affairs. It is now an exhibition hall, displaying historical pictures and manuscripts. On April 7, 1992, it was announced as a municipal cultural relic protection unit in Chongqing. Opening hours: peak season (March 5-October 15) 9:00-18:00; off-season (October 16-March 4) 9:00-17:30.
