About Xinggong Tower Gate
Xing Gong Tower, also known as Wenbi Tower, is located in the middle of the ancient city of Weishan Yi and Hui Autonomous County, Yunnan Province. It was the crossing building in the center of Menghua Prefecture in the Ming Dynasty. During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, a large number of Ming troops arrived and set up garrison camps in Weishan. On this basis, the ancient city was developed and built, and the original earthen city was changed into a masonry city. It was completed in the 23rd year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1390). The building is 11 meters high and consists of a wooden tower and a masonry base. It is in the style of a pavilion with double eaves resting on the top of the mountain. Xinggong Tower is the intersection of the four ancient streets of Weishan City (East Street, West Street, North Street, and South Street).
