About Wuhan Field National Defense Park
Wuhan Field National Defense Park is located in Laoshichen Village, Xishan Street, Caidian District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, covering an area of 690 acres. It was jointly built by the Wuhan Garrison District and the Caidian District People's Government in 2002. It is one of the first batch of provincial-level national defense education bases identified by the Hubei Provincial People's Government. The park is adjacent to the intersection of National Highway 318 and the Beijing-Zhuhai and Shanghai-Chengdu Expressways. It is built on the basis of the Jiuzhen Mountain National Forest Park. Chi Haotian, the then Minister of National Defense, inscribed the name of the park. In 2015, it was rated as a national defense education demonstration base.
