About Yinding Bridge
Yinding Bridge is located at the junction of Qianhai and Houhai of Shichahai, Xicheng District, Beijing. It was built during the Zhengtong period of the Ming Dynasty and was rebuilt in 1990 and 2010. Yinding Bridge is a north-south single-hole stone arch bridge with a length of 12 meters, a width of 7 meters, a height of 8 meters, and a span of 5 meters. It has 5 hollow cloud flower railings, 6 emerald vase scroll flower pillars, eight-shaped railings and drum stones at both ends, and swallow-wing walls on both sides of the bridge. It is called Yinding Bridge because it looks like a silver ingot. Yinding Bridge is one of the oldest bridges in Beijing and has important historical value. Standing on the railing and looking west, you can see the beautiful scenery of the Western Mountains in the distance. It is known as the first scenic spot in the city to see the Western Mountains.
