About Shuhe Ancient Town
Shuhe Ancient Town is located 4 kilometers northwest of Lijiang Ancient Town, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province. It is a small market town surrounding Lijiang Ancient Town and has a history of thousands of years. Shuhe Ancient Town has a total area of 5 square kilometers, a total construction area of 400,000 square meters, and a green area of 60%. As an integral part of the ancient city of Lijiang, Shuhe Ancient Town has well-preserved ancient roads, markets, and nearly a thousand traditional houses. The indigenous residents are mainly Naxi people. It is one of the earliest settlements of the Naxi ancestors in Lijiang Bazi. Since the Ming Dynasty, many people engaged in leather processing and other handicrafts have gathered in Shuhe, which is bustling and bustling. Shuhe Ancient Town has gradually become an important town on the Tea Horse Road and a Naxi cultural exchange center.
