About Hongsheng Temple Pagoda
The Hongsheng Temple Pagoda is located in the southwest corner of Dali Ancient City, Dali City, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. There is no clear record of the pagoda's construction year in the literature. Based on comprehensive research on its existing structure, building materials, unearthed cultural relics and later generations' research, the pagoda should have been built in the late Tang and early Song Dynasties. The Hongsheng Temple Tower is a sixteen-level square hollow brick tower with dense eaves, 43.87 meters high. There is a door on the west side of the first floor of the tower, and there is a marble Buddha statue on the lintel. The tower body has two to nine floors, and the height, width, tower eaves structure and size of each floor are basically the same. From the ninth floor onwards, the height and width of the tower gradually decrease.
