About Jianchuan Ancient City

Jianchuan Ancient City is located in Jinhua Town, Jianchuan County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and is the seat of the county people's government. The current ancient city was built in the 23rd year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1390). The city was expanded and built in the 22nd year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1543). After the city wall was demolished in 1952, the four-gate moat and the Ming Dynasty street pattern were still retained. The preserved ancient residences account for more than 90% of the total number of ancient residences in the city.
