About corner building

Corner Tower is an L-shaped ancient building complex, which mainly includes three types: Forbidden City Corner Tower, City Wall Corner Tower and Market Corner Tower. The four corner towers of the Forbidden City are famous for their architectural features; the inner city corner tower was built in the fourth year of Zhengtong in the Ming Dynasty (1439). The existing southeast corner tower has been repaired many times, and the remaining three were demolished in the 20th century; the outer city corner tower was built in the 32nd year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1553). ), but the turret itself may not have been completed until the early Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.
