About Bei'an River Martyrs Memorial Hall
The Bei'an River Martyrs Memorial Hall is located in the east of Bei'an River Village, Sujiatuo Town, Haidian District, Beijing. Its predecessor was the Revolutionary Martyrs' Hall, which was built in the early 1950s using an old warehouse in the village. The Bei'an River Revolutionary Martyrs' Ancestral Hall was built in 1965 and moved to the current site for reconstruction in 1982. In 1984, the Bei'an River Township Government rebuilt the memorial hall and established a monument to commemorate the local martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the War of Liberation and Socialist Construction. The building faces south from the north and adopts the style of antique-style hard-mounted ridges. The roof is covered with gray tube tiles and has a width of three rooms. There is a front corridor and a plaque of "Revolutionary Martyrs Hall" hangs at the main entrance.
