About Southern Village School

Nanshexue is located in Sunjia Lane, South Street. It is an educational institution. It was originally the residence of Xuan Tingshi, Jianti Xuedao, Zuojiang Road, Guangxi Province in the Ming Dynasty and his brother Xuan Tingbin, the official of Xinghua Prefecture, Fujian Province. The Ming Dynasty building consists of the main entrance, the second door, the hall, the hall, the back cabinet, the two wings and the garden. The back pavilion adopts a double-eaves resting top, with a width of three bays. Except for the upper eaves pillars, which are cylindrical, the rest are made of square pillars. The width of the open room and the secondary room are similar, and the appearance is well-proportioned. After the fall of the Ming Dynasty, Tingshi and his younger brother Tingbin went to Wuyin Mountain to become monks. Their houses were sold at low prices to run social schools.
