About Lee's Residence
Li's Residence is a Qing Dynasty residential building complex located on the north and east side of No. 24-26 Wuyi Road, Hailing District, Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province. It was built during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty (1821-1850). The original owner was the Li family, a wealthy businessman in Taizhou in the late Qing Dynasty. It was later called Fanjia Garden. The building complex adopts the Thai residential style of blue bricks, gray tiles and fat beams and columns. It is one of the representative works of Thai residential buildings. In June 1986, it was listed as the first batch of cultural relics protection units in the former county-level Taizhou City. The building has existing halls, main halls, corridors and back buildings. In front of the hall, there is a porch and a drum-shaped stone foundation.
