About Shichuan Ancient Pear Garden
Shichuan Pear Orchard is located in Shichuan Town, Gaolan County, Lanzhou, Gansu Province. The Yellow River passes through it, with green mountains in the north and south as screens, and turbulent flows from east to west, forming an ancient pear orchard with an area of 12,000 acres, of which the core area is 3,939 acres. There are 9,423 ancient pear trees over a hundred years old (more than 2,600 over 300 years old). The average age of the trees is 280 years. It has been certified by Guinness as "the world's first ancient pear orchard". Shichuan Town has developed pear tree planting since the Ming Dynasty. In 2014, the Ancient Pear Orchard Protection Center was established to implement “one tree, one stall” digital management.
