About Gao Family Mansion
The Kao Mansion is located at No. 191 Ziyang Street, Ziyang Community, Jianshe Street, Nanhu District, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. It was a private residence built by Jiaxing businessman Gao Zhonglan (Gao Ruli) during the Republic of China. It was built in the 1920s. It is now the "Jiaxing Literary and Art House", the residence of the Jiaxing Federation of Literary and Art Circles and its affiliated literary and artist associations, and the venue for literary and art exchange and exhibition. The Gaojia house covers an area of 1,500 square meters, with a courtyard area of 660 square meters and a building area of 2,500 square meters. The bungalow faces south and faces north. It has a brick and wood structure and is a two-story building with a width of 30 meters and a depth of 40.48 meters.
