About Dongguan Haogang Heritage Museum

Dongguan Haogang Site Museum is located at No. 1, Haogang Road, Shenghe Community, Nancheng, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. It is the first prehistoric shell mound site museum in Guangdong Province built on the original site. The museum was completed and opened to the public in June 2007. It mainly protects, studies and displays the Haogang shell mound site of the late Neolithic Age (known as the "First Village in the Pearl River Delta") and the painted pottery culture of the Pearl River, Yangtze River and Yellow River basins. The museum building is built according to the terrain of the site. The exhibition hall is divided into three floors, including the ruins exhibition hall, the unearthed cultural relics exhibition hall, the Sanjiang painted pottery exhibition hall and other exhibition halls. The cultural relics in the collection include stone tools, pottery, bone tools, etc.
