About Dajue Palace Murals
The murals of Dajue Palace are located in Dajue Palace, Shuhe Ancient Town, Gucheng District, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province. They are cultural relics of the Ming Dynasty. Dajue Palace is an important Buddhist building in Lijiang during the Ming Dynasty and contains Ming Dynasty murals. There were originally nine murals in Dajue Palace, and six of them are now preserved. They were painted on the two gables of the main hall of Dajue Palace, covering an area of 26.4 square meters. The style is similar to the murals in Baisha Dabaoji Palace, both of which use the outline, coloring, gold and powder piling, black background painting and other expression techniques of Chinese and Tibetan murals.
